Oshawa, Ontario, May 21, 2026 — General Motors is recognizing its top-performing global suppliers as part of its 34th annual Supplier of the Year awards program.
This year, GM recognized 103 Supplier of the Year and Overdrive winners from 14 countries, reflecting the scale, strength and diversity of the company’s global supply base.
Canadian suppliers were among this year’s honourees, earning six awards across multiple categories.
“On average, General Motors recognizes about a hundred suppliers out of up to 20,000 globally. It’s something to strive for,” said Shilpan Amin, global chief procurement and supply chain officer, General Motors. “This motivates our suppliers for continuous improvement, and it recognizes their teams and all the hard work they do that results in a better product for our customers.”

- Linamar — Forgings
- Magna — Frames; Exterior Moldings/Claddings/Extruded Plastics; Rubber Sealing/Rubber Extruded

- Oshawa has received $1.5 billion in investments since 2020.
St. Catharines:
- St. Catharines Propulsion continues to play a key role—today and into the future— and will produce GM’s next-generation of V8 engines, which power our high-demand full-size trucks and SUVs.
- St. Catharines has received $828 million in investments since 2020.
CAMI Assembly:
- GM continues to assess the site for future opportunities.
